John helps individuals plan and invest responsibly, and he has been in the financial services industry since 1992. After graduating from Southern N.H. University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, he embarked on a lifelong financial career in retirement and estate planning — to help others plan with purpose.
As an Investment Adviser Representative with Voya Financial Advisors, Inc., John works closely with individuals and families of all age groups, and he takes a genuine interest in helping others achieve their retirement and personal goals.
John holds a Registered Financial Planner and Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor designation, is certified in Long-Term Care and is a Life Underwriters Training Counsel and Fellowship Member. He is one of the three founding partners of Creteau, Hackett, Lachapelle & Associates LLC.
For many years, John has been active on numerous committees and non-profits within the Rochester community. John is a lifelong resident of Rochester. He spends his personal time with his three children (Rick, Leah and Robert) and his wife, Judi.
Richard has been in the financial services industry since 1995. Taking time to listen, applying experienced knowledge and looking at all your financial needs and goals with complete objectivity is Richard's specialty. He’ll ask you the hard questions that will help you make tough, yet critical decisions best suited to your needs. In doing so, he’ll show you how beneficial it can be to address your financial needs and goals together.
Richard graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics in Durham, NH. He is a founding partner of Creteau, Hackett, Lachapelle & Associates, LLC.
Richard is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional (CFP®) and holds a Chartered Life Underwriter designation, (CLU®). Professionals with the CFP® certification must complete courses in financial planning and ethics, insurance planning, investment management, taxes, estate planning and employee benefits as well as pass a very comprehensive 2-day, 10-hour exam covering a wide range of financial planning topics. Certified planners must also agree to abide by the standards set by the CFP® board, and many consumer experts consider this certification to have the most rigorous standards.
Rich resides in Rochester, NH with his wife Alison, their son, Ethan, and their daughter, Madelyn.
John is a founding partner of Creteau, Hackett, Lachapelle & Associates. He brings a range of
experience to the firm, having begun his career in 1984. Throughout his time providing financial guidance, John has seen his share of the changing seasons in the market and our economy. His experience is proven in his approach to secure retirement and estate planning. Honoring his clients’ trust has been the hallmark of his career.
John received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Plymouth State University. Through the American College, he completed the Chartered Financial Consultant ChFC® designation, which is one of the most extensive educational programs required for any financial service credential. John also has the Life Underwriters Training Council LUTCF designation.
He holds various FINRA registrations, including series 7, 6, 63, and 65. He has been a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) since 1987. John is a past President of the NH Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NHAIFA) as well as a past President of the Seacoast NH Association of Life Underwriters.
John is active in his community. He is a former football coach, and currently spends his time as a supporter of youth and high school football. He is also involved with his local church. John and his wife, Cecily, have raised six children; they reside in Portsmouth, NH.
Laura joined Creteau, Hackett, Lachapelle, & Associates in 2012. Laura has worked for large and small companies as well as a non-profit organization. Laura brings years of experience to our company in office management, organization, and customer service. She enjoys reading, writing, sewing, and traveling. Laura resides in Maine, with her husband Rick.
Ashley joined Creteau, Hackett, Lachapelle, & Associates in May 2020 in the role as Client Administrative Assistant. She brings experience gained from working with the public over the last 10 years in administration and customer service. Ashley lives in the Seacoast with her husband Michael and their dog Monty. Her family owns a home in Old Orchard Beach, ME where they go in the summer to enjoy the beach, fires and smores. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys finding new spots to hike and kayak.
